INTRODUCTION TO CUFOG
CONWY UFO GROUP was formed in 2004, and was a long time coming.

Based in North Wales, it is ideally placed to deal within a region where quality UFO reports are not infrequent. By quality of course, is meant reports of UFOs which by their appearance and activities etc suggest they are unearthly and of extra-terrestrial origin.

CUFOG is a science based initiative. Its core belief is that Earth is visited by extra-terrestrial biological entities (EBEs), using exotically powered advanced craft to traverse great distances in space.

An EBE, is a living organism, alive by our understanding of such, which like all organisms, must be born, live and eventually die. An EBE is a biological organism, as above described, but one which like Humans, is incapable of space flight without the technological security of a machine to carry it through space.

Although believers in the following are welcome, CUFOG adheres to this core belief.

There are many reports of 'aliens' performing almost magical feats and believers often accept this on the grounds that such organisms are more advanced than humanity, so are therefore capable of such feats. CUFOG personally disputes that.

People may very well have encounters with 'aliens' which walk through walls etc, but this is more likely to be something else other than the core description of an alien creature.

CUFOG does not like the concept of Ufology being classed with other 'paranormal' subjects. Nor does it tolerate UFO based religious cults. Statistically, it is more probable that alien life forms visit Earth than the earthly existence of ghosts and spirits, and the unearthly existence of gods etc.

It has strong views on contactee and abductee claimants. Principally, it does not dismiss this outright. It is fair to say that GENUINE claimants are extremely rare, certainly in the case of abductees. CUFOG believes that alien visitation to Earth is a rare event so by definition, abduction must be an even rarer occurance. It does not dispute abduction as a reality. It just claims that most victims are not actually returned and that the task of investigators is made more difficult and genuine abductees are more ridiculed by the plethora of hoax claimants whether deliberately engineered by them or not.

If you think you are a victim of abduction, you may contact CUFOG and you will be directed to someone more qualified to investigate your claim.

Again, very close contact with extraterrestrial biological entities is most unlikely simply from a bio-hazard view point.

CUFOG is based midway between Prestatyn and Bangor on the North Wales coast and is but a hop, skip and a jump from the Great Orme headland above Llandudno, which is an excellent venue for skywatches and has once been described as the third best UFO observation point in the UK.

CUFOG is delighted to be associated with the Wales Fellowship Of Independent Ufologists, spearheaded by long standing UFO investigator and writer, Mrs Margaret Fry.

CUFOG will accept and if necessary investigate sightings reported to it. Sensibly, it cannot investigate every sighting reported. It will however pursue any sighting which is backed up by quality supporting evidence.

IT WILL NOT HOWEVER ACCEPT ANY INFORMATION FROM ANYONE WHO WILL NOT PUT THEIR NAME TO THAT DATA. THOSE REPORTING SIGHTINGS MUST BE FULLY CANDID. IF NOT, THEIR INFORMATION WILL BE IGNORED.

This website offers a page titled Berwyn Watch. Over coming months, this will be enhanced with information regarding the mid seventies alleged UFO crash on the slopes of Cader Berwyn in the Berwyn Mountain range south of Corwen. Over the years many investigators have looked into this case and have worked hard to produce interesting results. This has not stopped many debunkers from attacking the subject, paying scant regard to the evidence (albeit circumstantial) which suggests that a craft of alien origin either crashed or temporarily landed near the Berwyn village of Llandrillo.

CUFOG always invites other groups from anywhere on the planet to send us their contact details. We will always add their website details to our links page if that is reciprocal.

PLEASE NOTE.

It seems CUFOG is under regular attack by persons or organisations unknown. This includes incredibly and indeed sadly, certain fellow UFO enthusiasts. While these are a disgrace to Ufology and are to be treated with the contempt they deserve, of most concern to CUFOG is interference by the Authorities.

This is particularly apparent in relation to publication of evidence regarding the Berwyn Mountain UFO Event of January 1974. It seems of late, emphasis has shifted from attacking investigating UFO enthusiasts, to detering new interest in the case by newcomers to the subject.

It must be remembered, that for instance, Mrs Pat Evans who discovered the Berwyn UFO in a landed position, was hounded out of her home, not be State funded terrorists calling themselves Government agents, but by UFO enthusiasts constantly badgering the woman and her family, often at unsociable hours and without prior notice.

The webmaster has been constantly harassed by clandestine agencies and individuals for his researching of the Berwyn case. This has resulted in a Defence Advisory Notice being issued by the DAN Secretary within the Ministry of Defence, to deny the webmaster publicity for his findings. This has resulted in numerous radio, television, newspaper and magazine articles being pulled at the last minute. For example, BBC Radio Wales cancelled a planned live airing to discuss released Government files on North Wales UFOs, when the webmaster refused 'not to discuss or mention' the Berwyn event.

The researchers went elsewhere and enrolled Mrs Margaret Fry to speak. She too was asked not to mention the Berwyn case. She consulted the webmaster for further details and then discovered what the BBC had done. The BBC researchers had not realised that we knew each other.

When pressed, it was admitted that the MoD had requested the Berwyn case be avoided so as 'not to arouse further interest in it'.

As a businessman, the webmaster has a unique Internet marketing strategy, which is applied to promoting the Berwyn case and CUFOG in general. This permits thousands of UK citizens to be exposed to the case and our subject.

This is called viral marketing and it really rubs up the Authorities the wrong way.
